ABANDONED Wealthy Lawyer and Bank Owner's Fairytale Mansion

ABANDONED Wealthy Lawyer and Bank Owner's Fairytale Mansion

I found an unbelievable greek revival style mansion in the deep south. It was owned by a wealthy lawyer who also became a bank owner. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after it was completed. Although, this was a semi-failed explore, I hope you appreciate this place with me.

    A beautiful place!!
    🙂
I saw parts of an old aluminum Christmas tree there!
I’m trying to find one with a color wheel.
The tree is so pretty as the wheel turns!!
Love the huge columns on the mansion, too!!
    Thanks for sharing!!

Wow, what a sweet place. I’m guessing it was built around the mid-1800’s. Hopefully, they renovate it, and someone can live in it again. There’s a lot of old mansions like this in my area, and a lot of them are now dentist offices or banks, or something like that.

Thanx for trying. Shows that you won’t break in, respect property, and honor the laws.

Curious as to why you think we’d be interested in dirt filled pots, and trash in the basement. It would have been nicer if you had gone right to the main floors of the house. 2/3’s of this video was basically uninteresting trash and yard stuff. The rest was "all sealed up"???? Why did you even bother??

I don’t think, they’re trying to re-store it when all their junk was there.

  34. Mama's gone detecting on October 8, 2020 at 11:12 pm

I would love to have that crochet set. We love playing but the sets they sell now are expensive to buy but made cheap. Do you know how old this place is? I think the strange room with the single window may have been a coal storage room for the furnace and the window would have actually her a door so the coal could be delivered. We lived in a house one time with that type of set up.

It’s a veyr deflating feeling when you pull up to a spot that you can’t access.

  36. Kristine Guetschow on October 8, 2020 at 11:15 pm

Love the outside of this mansion! Hope you can find a way to take us inside. It was surprising that the underside of the mansion had dirt floors instead of concrete. Of course you couldn’t utilize that area unless you were 3’ high.

  37. Melz Bellz on October 8, 2020 at 11:17 pm

Wow would love to live in there breath taking

  38. Waskelwee Wabbit on October 8, 2020 at 11:18 pm

The little room with the weird window was where they stored their coal for the coal furnace, that would be on the other side of the half-wall. There was a heavy steal hatch door where that hole is, that would be opened, and coal shoveled into that small room. I grew up with the same thing that we converted into a storage/pantry room.

Hi, I love the new intro/outro music it’s really cool. What a shame you couldn’t do the inside of the house but it is what it is. That unfortunately is how it goes sometimes so hopefully people won’t rag you in the comments. Thanks for trying. x

As being a bank owner, you would have thought he would have had it in his will to someone. Very interesting
