I’m from NY. Lived in Florida for two years and missed NY too much . Too many crazy jerks in Florida for me. The weather is ok. South Florida is humid and unbearably hot in the summer. I like cool North East summers in the mountains with waterfalls. NC , SC or Georgia is more laid back than Florida and less crazy people

The downsides of moving to FL are the high cost of housing, the high annual rainfall which makes a joke of "sunshine ‘state," and the periods of cold which last several days.

Moved to Fl 24 years ago from New Jersey, I love it, there are crazy people everywhere, and mother nature hits in other states too.

I hear complaints about driving, costs, and weather. I hate the cold, traffic in DC is a guaranteed hour to 2 hours during rush hour no matter where you live and an average apartment is $2.5 – $3k a month. I’m moving to FL

One thing I like about Florida is that there’s no statewide mask mandate. If you live in a county that has a mask mandate, Sheriff deputies don’t enforce it.

I used to live in Florida and still have family down there and in my opinion, Florida is trash. Too hot, bad drivers, low paying jobs, awful water, you need a car to go anywhere, awful social services,etc. Florida is great to visit and that’s it
