almost everywhere has lots o thrift shops, so you can buy a sweater or jacket, even boots, and then just redonate it back. saves room in our luggage.

don’t go to bay county, the slogan is Come here on vacation, go home on probation. Highest crime rate and that was before hurricane Michael created third world conditions.

Sarasota here, mentioning our heavy downpours that can cause white out conditions when driving is a must. They may not last long but have caused many accidents.

At Universal I recommenced staying at one of the 6 hotel’s that don’t require a shuttle to get to the two parks/Volcano Bay.

I agree about the timeshare, don’t buy! They got me in Vegas in 2017 and stuck with it. Worse decision I’ve ever made in my entire life! It sucks!

  13. Mike Ferguson on November 18, 2019 at 11:16 am

So I live in the Tampa Bay Clearwater Beach area you say it’s number one… folks the best beach to visit in Florida is the emerald coast Destin and fort Walton Beach… That area is like Florida Tampa Clearwater area was in the.

As a resident of Florida do not drink the water unless it’s a reverse osmosis system . The water is not only horrible but full of neurotoxic fluoride tastes like rotten eggs in certain places .

  18. The Anonymous AcclerDew on November 18, 2019 at 11:20 am

Another tip from a native Floridian: Avoid the Florida Turnpike if at all possible, especially I-4. Be prepared to get out of water/seek shelter in the summer, due to our frequent late afternoon rainstorms. Also, don’t forget, our brutal summer humidity. Another thing is we take our college football seriously here, as soon as you enter this state, you have to choose between UF (Go Gators), Miami (Ew), or FSU (If you are mentally handicapped that is), or if you are really stupid enough to think about it, DON’T FEED THE GATORS! (Literally, they’ll think we = food)
Oh and don’t forget to check out Publix, especially their sub sandwiches and Fried Chicken.

Don’t come in September. 100% of our hurricanes hit during that month. Dorian last week is a recent example

  22. Llama Queen on November 18, 2019 at 11:25 am

Don’t swim in lakes or ponds even if it says you can swim, Alligators are everywhere

  23. trueblueclue on November 18, 2019 at 11:26 am

Don’t bother with South Beach unless you’ve never been there. It’s an overrated, overpriced tourist trap. Go to local places on the mainland or to NMB instead.

Also the East Coast is underrated.

How are you forgetting about all of the springs?

  33. DiLaPpLe B0i on November 18, 2019 at 11:49 am

As a Floridian I find this funny

  34. Katherine Morgan on November 18, 2019 at 11:51 am

I, too, live in Florida and would add: Don’t go ocean swimming without first learning about riptides…..Don’t be looking at your phone when walking in the Florida woods or fresh-water fishing from the bank. Florida has several varieties of poisonous snakes, including the aggressive water moccasin. Pay attention!… Don’t walk a dog near the water in alligator habitats. Alligators are fast and will go after a dog….. Don’t play golf or dilly dally in open terrain in a lightening storm, particularly near Bradenton which is the lightening capital of the world. Drop your clubs and run for shelter. It is extremely dangerous to play golf during a Florida lightening storm….On happier topics, you haven’t lived until you’ve eaten a seasonal Stone Crab! Beware of slicing open your fingers on their thick gorgeous shells. Also, I’d hugely recommend going to seafood restaurants recommended by locals for some delicious fresh fish and shellfish….The natural springs in the Panhandle and Northern Florida are outstanding, and worth the trip. Please help keep them pollution and litter free.

  35. Mike S.79 on November 18, 2019 at 11:52 am

If in Tampa, they are doing aggressive enforcement and even holding an electronic device is now a stoppable offense in Florida. Just a heads up for other viewers.

  36. Same ole Same ole on November 18, 2019 at 11:52 am

There’s nothing to do here in Jacksonville. That’s why the St. Johns flows north. Because Jacksonville sucks.

  37. Laine Scherr on November 18, 2019 at 11:56 am

1 one tip don’t go to Disney world in summer

  38. Serena Fincel on November 18, 2019 at 11:56 am

Siesta Key Beach is the number 1 beach in the USA and has been for a lot of years now. Also I have lived in FL all of my life and swam in the Peace River which is known to have a lot of alligators. I spend most of my Sundays swimming at Siesta Key Beach. Alligators and sharks are not the big scare that you are making them out to be. The lifeguard stations list any concerns that a person would need to be mindful of. In fresh water a person just needs to be mindful of their surroundings. In the 57 years that I have lived in FL I have never had a problem with alligators or sharks and I have never had to evacuate for a hurricane.

  39. Chris Burklund on November 18, 2019 at 11:57 am

Don’t bring your dog down here and let them run down to the water (fresh water of any kind). You’ll here a scream, a splash, and then no more dog. Also, if that happens, don’t ask to have the gator killed so you can get your dead dog back. You let your pet become part of the food chain, live with it. Also, central Florida is the lightning capital of North America, don’t walk on the beach or play golf if you hear thunder. Every year Florida racks up a body count from lightning. One final thing. If you are here with kids, don’t waste your time at Clearwater Beach. Just go to one of the local beach parks like Fort Desoto. You’ll have a much better time not being shoulder to shoulder with other tourists.

  40. Romullus on November 18, 2019 at 11:57 am

lol I have watched a few of these and there is a huge focus on not doing timeshares due to high pressure salesmen. It’s almost like a challenge now. I kinda want to do the timeshare just to piss them off and not buy anything because that would be the actual trip. Maybe put 1000 dollars in a savings account and sign a waiver saying that the money will go to charity if I buy ANYTHING from the timeshare. I might even bring myself a beer and smile haughtily in their face.

  41. Hernan Cruz on November 18, 2019 at 11:58 am

If you are planning to move to the State of Florida, do not move buy or rent a house in Temple Terrace worst city to live. They allow residents to burns at anytime.

  42. Carry on November 18, 2019 at 11:59 am

    Great

  43. Amanda Ellen on November 18, 2019 at 12:00 pm

I find it soo funny when people say that Florida is expensive. I live in NYC. Florida is sooo cheap to me and my husband. We have been there 3 times already and its sooo cheap to fly out there and get hotels and eat (to us anyway, remember we’re from NYC). The last time we went we booked on Expedia and we paid less than $1000 total for flight & hotel for 5 days. You just have to find deals online! Disney was really expensive though! Universal was only $150 per person for both parks

  44. David Goodwin on November 18, 2019 at 12:00 pm

When I go to Florida I am going to touch alligator I love alligators I want you to take one home with me so don’t tell me I I can’t touch down here
