Coastal foraging is going to be my first attempt. This video is super informative and I can’t wait to get out and give it a try… but CA needs to lift the COVID quarantine before I can get out to the coast! Gonna order that coastal foraging book while I’m stuck at home binging your vids.

Limpid risotto sounds so bomb right now too. I’m starving lol

  5. Dalia Canseco on July 8, 2020 at 6:12 pm

Please make more of this, I’m super interested but I don’t know how to start especially living in Santa Monica. I don’t know if the water and creatures are clean enough to eat here.

Illegal to use tools to pry limpets off rocks (mussels, too). Use your hands, only. ( I know that you know this, by now. This message is for the commenters). Goods videos, OC. Keep up the good work. A.I.P.

Sorry if I missed it. Where are you foraging? Can you give exact location for us non-Califorian chef’s that wish to follow in your footsteps and try this out? I live in South Florida but would love to go on a foraging vacation and do exactly what your doing. Thank you so much for these amazing videos!

California where they charge you for a license that doesnt mean anything if they have rules then they should just enforce it then charge it if caught going above limit instead of charging right away

Don’t squish soft shellfish that just changed there shell, they normaly die a few days later from that. That is why they hide and burry them self.
