I remember ordering a steak at Applebees and to this day it was the best steak I’ve ever had.
Maybe they changed over the years.
Them disliking Applebee’s steaks:
Me happily ordering the steak (medium/medium well) with Parmesan shrimp on top with extra topping & a side of steamed broccoli
Would’ve trusted it more if they didn’t know which restaurant each steak was from before judging

To me, medium rare is overcooked.
Went to Applebee’s on my first date with my now boyfriend and they messed up my medium steak 4 times, yes, 4! times. My boyfriend was completely done with his dinner before I even got my main entree

Texas Roadhouse is pretty good but I always make a better steak at home than any place I’ve ever ordered one.

I went to Applebees 4 times (my friends wanted to go there) and I ordered rare steak each time and got well done each time.
My first job that wasn’t farm work was at texas roadhouse in Anderson, IN. Texas roadhouse is actually based in Louisville, KY lol

I worked at Roadhouse for years and I can tell you their steaks are tender from a jacarder. In my opinion the best steak I had was funnily at red lobster
